Accessible Hampshire Attractions – Days Out near Hayling Island
Hayling Island Holiday Park is the ideal base for a getaway on the South Coast, offering the perfect base for enjoying accessible days out in Hampshire. Whether you’re searching for a quiet trail through nature, a thought-provoking museum or a day out with the family, Hampshire has it all.
Accessible Adventure Is Just Around the Corner
When we say accessible Hampshire attractions, we mean a 15-minute car journey accessible; it doesn’t get much better than that.
Staunton Farm
When looking for an accessible trip to visit Mother Nature’s finest, Staunton is the place to be. Featuring easy-going gravel paths that are ideal for those using wheelchairs or mobility scooters, the farm is home to pigs, chickens, goats, alpacas and llamas. Be sure to grab some feed for our animal friends; you don’t want to see a goat when it’s hangry, trust us.
Staunton Farm also features an en-suite country park comprising around 1000 acres of land, offering expansive walks and adventures into nature, whilst also featuring some expertly carved timber figures, which we WOODn’t dare keep you from. We’ll show ourselves out…
Funland Hayling Island
We love Funland, because it does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s loud, colourful and for many people, warm in a nostalgic fashion. The park features a variety of rides, games and attractions, which aim to cater for accessibility where they can, making the park a fan favourite accessible day out in Hampshire.

Blue Reef Aquarium
It’s happened, the inevitable British weather has delivered a scheduled downpour. How should I spend my day out now? Look no further than the Blue Reef Aquarium, an indoor haven for gazing upon vibrant sea creatures. The aquarium aims to provide as accessible an experience as possible, with ramps and lifts throughout the facility.
Portsmouth Historic Dockyard & the Mary Rose
Potentially the most widely renowned accessible Hampshire attraction, the Mary Rose is an original Tudor warship, constructed during the reign of King Henry the 8th. Having been sunk in 1545 during the battle of the Solent, the ship lay dormant on the bed of the Solent strait, until being raised in 1982.
She has since been preserved in remarkable condition at the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, featuring lifts to access the museum, creating excellent accessibility.
Gunwharf Quays
When searching for accessibility, few come close to the design of Gunwharf Quays, a designer shopping outlet that features wide and flat lanes for easy access. Moreover, the Quays also offer an access and mobility service that is designed to make the outlet as inclusive as possible, creating one of the most accessible days out in Hampshire.
Those looking for a day of retail therapy will find themselves floating from store to store, ambling between the Quay’s lanes, and gazing upon the iconic Spinnaker Tower from the water’s edge.
